Who We Are
Financial Support
The Interfaith Round Table depends on the contributions of congregations and individuals to keep the mission of bridge building in the religious community healthy and growing. Our general budget for the fiscal year ending June 30 will be $12,300. About $2,000 of this is set aside for our youth programming, "Sacred Storytelling." These are not big dollars, as budgets go, but every dollar we receive is greatly appreciated!
Many of the congregations that are active in the Round Table contribute financially as well, gifts ranging from $50 to $1,000. Individual donations come in every year from 30-50 people, some gifts for our general budget and others for our youth program. All of these are greatly appreciated!
In recent years we have been fortunate to adopt a University Musical Society concert in order to raise some additional funds for our work. The UMS has made it possible for us to buy tickets at a discounted rate and then sell them to people in our active congregations at the regular price. Thank you, UMS!
In 2004 we applied for and received our first grant. It was from the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation, and it was used for an expanded youth program in 2004-05. Our second grant, this time for the Jewish Federation of Washtenaw County, greatly assisted our new youth initiative in 2006-07.
Finally, each year we launch a fundraising effort either by mail or by special event such as an interfaith fundraising dinner. Last years was held at the Chinmaya Mission for helping with Sacred Storytelling. Every gift that we received through any of the above efforts is also greatly appreciated!
If interfaith work is important to you, and you would like to help insure that the Round Table's efforts continue, your contribution will also be greatly appreciated! Donations can be sent to: The Interfaith Round Table of Washtenaw County, P.O. Box 3653, Ann Arbor, MI 48106-3653. All gifts are tax deductible.
