It has been six years now since Jeffrey Steiger of the UM's CRLT program interviewed over 100 high school students to form the basis of a new play. However, this is about much more than a play. It is about building better bridges. “Sacred Storytelling” is an opportunity to engage in extended conversations. What did we hear? What did we assume? What stereotypes were brought to our attention? What does it take to overcome prejudice? How can we build better bridges of friendship and understanding?

Since 1996 this play has been hosted by many local youth groups from the religious community. It has also been performed for the community-at-large.
