It has been three years now since Jeffrey Steiger of the UM's CRLT program interviewed over 100 high school students to form the basis of a new play. However, this is about much more than a play. It is about building better bridges. “Sacred Storytelling” is an opportunity to engage in extended conversations. What did we hear? What did we assume? What stereotypes were brought to our attention? What does it take to overcome prejudice? How can we build better bridges of friendship and understanding?

In 2008, "Sacred Storytelling" was performed five time under the direction of Emily Wilson-Tobin, four of which were hosted by local youth groups from the religious community. We are currently booking performances for this fall and on into 2009.
